‘Moxie ‘Trailer: Amy Poehler Directs Netflix’s Girl Power Comedy

“When she walks, the revolution’s coming.” The trailer for Netflix’s Moxie dropped this morning and we are fired up.

Based on the best selling book, 16 year old Vivian (Hadley Robinson) lives with her former riot-grrl mom (Amy Poehler) and keeps her head down at school. When a new student (Alycia Pascual-Peña) arrives and starts to experience the same sexist behavior that has riddled the school, Vivian decides to channel her mother’s roots and create a zine to challenge the status quo.

This is Poehler’s second crack at directing after 2019’s Wine Country. Accompanied by Bikini Kill’s “Rebel Girl,” the trailer also features Marcia Gay Harden, Ike Barinholtz, and Patrick Schwarzenegger. I’m personally excited for this. I’m a huge Amy Poehler stan and feminist and the trailer is giving me Book Smart vibes.

Moxie hits Netflix March 3rd. Watch the trailer below.
