Chris Evans To Return As Captain America In New Marvel Projects

Say what? I don’t know whether to be shocked by this news or not, but Deadline reports Chris Evans is expected to reprise his role as Captain America in future Marvel projects. How’s that gonna work? Well, we don’t know yet.

Here’s the deal: Evans is nearing a deal to bring America’s Ass back to the MCU in one new project and possibly another after that. His part would be small, similar to what Robert Downey Jr. did in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but still….Captain America!

Of course, everybody knows what happened to Cap in Avengers: Endgame. He went back in time, lived the life he always wanted, and now Steve Rogers is old and gray. I could see him coming back as older Steve to guide whoever the new Captain America will be (it’s not guaranteed to be Falcon). Or maybe he just shows up in flashback as part of another show?

My guess is that Cap will be a mentor to the Young Avengers, popping up occasionally to lend advice and maybe help train Eli Bradley aka Patriot, who is rumored to be in the MCU soon.  What I absolutely don’t want to see is Cap de-aged and brought back as normal, or for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to introduce an alternate-universe version.
