Alan Tudyk Says He Won’t Be Returning As K-2SO In Disney’s ‘Andor’ Series

The Cassian Andor series on Disney+ has undergone many changes since it was announced a couple of years ago. Tony Gilroy, who basically saved Rogue One from becoming a disaster, was brought in to replace initial showrunner Stephen Schiff, along with writing scripts for each episode. With that move, it appears the series has undergone another big change, and that’s the loss of Alan Tudyk as the voice of Andor’s loyal robot sidekick, K-2SO.

Despite being confirmed for the Cassian Andor series early on by Lucasfilm, Tudyk now tells Collider that he won’t be reuniting with his Rogue One co-star Diego Luna…

“They’re shooting it right now, I’m not in it,” he confirmed. “But, if it stays on the air, stories keep getting told, I’ll end up in there.”

Because the two were so joined at the hip during Rogue One, it was easy to think the Andor series would continue that friendship. But this makes it clear that Andor’s adventures will pre-date his first encounter with K-2SO. Perhaps they’ll save it for a season finale?
