‘What If…?’ Trailer: Marvel’s Animated Series Presents New Twists On Familiar Characters

From top to bottom the lineup of Marvel Cinematic Universe projects coming to Disney+ is impressive. Even something like What If…?, an animated series that changes everything we know of the MCU, looks phenomenal and like it’s going to be a must-see. And it doesn’t hurt to have Jeffrey Wright voicing Uatu the Watcher. How long before we can start demanding he make the live-action jump? Can we do it now?

Based on the Marvel Comics series, What If…? presents our favorite MCU heroes but changed by events that went a different way. For instance, Hayley Atwell voices a Peggy Carter who took the Super Soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers. Yeah, fun stuff. Now imagine that concept for all of the characters we love. Pretty sweet, and the style of animation is definitely different from anything you’re going to find on Disney+.

What If…? comes to Disney+ in summer 2021.

What If…? flips the script on the MCU, reimagining famous events from the films in unexpected ways. Coming to Disney+ in Summer 2021, Marvel Studios’ first animated series focuses on different heroes from the MCU, featuring a voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their roles. Bryan Andrews directs the series; Ashley Bradley is the head writer.
