Tom Cruise Caught Screaming At ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ Crew For Breaking COVID-19 Safety Rules

It’s funny that we’ve seen so many directors making movies during the pandemic, because doing so under the strict safety guideline has to be tough. That goes double for a massive production like Mission: Impossible 7, which has already faced its share of delays due to the outbreak. And when that happens on a film of this size, it can cost A LOT of money, and that means producers aren’t going to be happy. Know who is a producer on MI:7? Its star, Tom Cruise.

Cruise was caught on tape screaming at the MI:7 crew for breaking COVID-19 safety protocols, which the actor helped put in place himself. The leaked audio was provided to The Sun.

You can hear Cruise saying, “If I see you do it again, you’re fucking gone. And if anyone in this crew does it, that’s it — and you too and you too. And you, don’t you ever fucking do it again.”

Cruise continues, “They’re back there in Hollywood making movies right now because of us! Because they believe in us and what we’re doing! I’m on the phone with every fucking studio at night, insurance companies, producers, and they’re looking at us and using us to make their movies. We are creating thousands of jobs, you motherfuckers.”

There’s a lot more to it, but the source of Cruise’s…well, passion, seems to be the amount of responsibility heaped on them to save the industry, not necessarily the safety of those on set. I get it, he’s got a lot on his shoulders and what he’s saying is true. I’m just not sure this is the best way to go about it. For one thing, it encourages your crew to release the audio to the press, and that puts a black eye on the entire production. A more diplomatic approach might not have made headlines at all.
