Margot Robbie In Talks To Replace Emma Stone In Damien Chazelle’s ‘Babylon’

Well, it looks as if Damien Chazelle’s upcoming Hollywood drama Babylon won’t be the first-time pairing of Emma Stone and Brad Pitt. Instead, it’ll be a reunion between Pitt and his Once Upon a Time in Hollywood co-star, Margot Robbie.

According to Deadline, Robbie is in talks to replace Emma Stone in Babylon, who has to depart due to scheduling conflicts. Stupid pandemic. Anyway, Robbie joins Pitt in the 1920s film about silent movie actors struggling as Hollywood makes the transition to “talkies.”  Stone was set to play screen legend Clara Bow, with Pitt as a fictional actor based on John Gilbert, whose career dwindled when the silent era ended.

Unfortunately, the addition of Robbie also means a delay for Babylon, as she’s preparing to shoot David O. Russell’s latest film. Pitt is currently in production on David Leitch’s action flick, Bullet Train.
