‘Loki’ Trailer: Tom Hiddleston’s God Of Mischief Is Stuck In A Cross-Time Caper

Come on, you didn’t think getting rid of Loki would be that easy, did you? Of course, the god of mischief did meet his end literally at the hand of Thanos, but his story is far from finished. Disney has revealed the first trailer for their upcoming Loki series on Disney+, starring Tom Hiddleston as the version of the character who grabbed the Tesseract during Avengers: Endgame.

So Loki’s story continues on! And as we see in this footage, he’s wrapped up in a time-hopping crime thriller of his own making, as he’s captured by a mysterious figure played by Owen Wilson. He appears to be one of the Time Brokers, and takes him to a tall building run by the “TVA”. It’s all very paranoid and surprisingly like a conspiracy thriller, which you’d think would be the case for Falcon and the Winter Soldier, but not for Loki.

The series is directed by Kate Herron, and boasts an impressive supporting cast of Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, Richard E. Grant, Sasha Lane, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. Also, all of this cross-time caper stuff Loki is stuck in will have connections to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, a film that is quickly becoming the most-important of the MCU.

Loki hits Disney+ in May 2021.
