Jaimie Alexander To Return As Lady Sif In ‘Thor: Love & Thunder’

It’s been a long time coming, but Lady Sif is finally returning to the MCU. Jaimie Alexander played the Asgardian warrior, and the Odinson’s sisterly rival, in Thor and Thor: The Dark World, plus a couple of Agents of SHIELD episodes. However, she wasn’t seen in Thor: Ragnarok, avoiding death in the process, which leaves her alive and kicking to return in Thor: Love & Thunder.

Sources tell Deadline that Alexander will reprise her role as Lady Sif in Thor: Love & Thunder. She joins an already strong female cast that will also see the return of Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, who becomes The Mighty Thor, and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie. Of course, Chris Hemsworth will be there, as well, along with Christian Bale as the villain Gorr the God Butcher, and Chris Pratt as Star-Lord.

The film is a direct followup to Avengers: Endgame, so don’t be surprised if the entire Guardians of the Galaxy show up.

Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love & Thunder opens May 6th 2022.
