‘The Adam Project’: Mark Ruffalo Is Ryan Reynolds’ Dad, Catherine Keener The Villain In Netflix Time Travel Film

Perhaps before Ryan Reynolds and Mark Ruffalo become bros of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, they’ll get to appear together in Netflix’s time travel flick The Adam Project. THR reports Ruffalo is joining the cast of the sci-fi film from director Shawn Levy, which already has a pretty stellar lineup that includes Zoe Saldana and Jennifer Garner. Actually, they’re all Marvel veterans, aren’t they?

Also coming aboard the film are Catherine Keener, Walker Scobell, and Alex Mallari, Jr. The story finds Reynolds as a man who must go back in time and seek out his younger self (played by Scobell) so they can join with their late father (Ruffalo), a brilliant physicist, to set things right and save the future. Keener is taking on the villain role, a woman who has stolen powerful tech from the physicist. Mallari plays Keener’s right-hand man.

Filming on The Adam Project is underway now.
