‘Another Round’ Trailer: Mads Mikkelsen Has A Drinking Solution In Thomas Vinterberg’s Latest

Life is hard, and people come up with all sorts of ways to get by. The saying “whatever gets you through the day” is fine, but if that something includes drinking yourself into a daily stupor, well, that could be a problem. Or maybe it’s a solution? That’s the question at play in Another Round, the latest teamup of director Thomas Vinterberg and star Mads Mikkelsen.

In the trailer for Another Round, we see Mikkelsen as a teacher who, along with his three pals, make a pact to stay drunk all day every day in order to deal with their crappy lives. The film also stars Thomas Bo Larsen, Magnus Millang, and Lars Ranthe.

Vinerberg co-wrote the script with Tobias Lindholm, the two having worked previously with Mikkelsen on The Hunt and Submarino.

Another Round hits theaters on December 4th, VOD on December 18th.

SYNOPSIS: Four friends, all teachers at various stages of middle age, are stuck in a rut. Unable to share their passions either at school or at home, they embark on an audacious experiment from an obscure philosopher: to see if a constant level of alcohol in their blood will help them find greater freedom and happiness. At first they each find a new-found zest, but as the gang pushes their experiment further, issues that have been simmering for years come to a head and the men are faced with a choice: reckon with their behavior or continue on the same course.
