Rumor: Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’ Cut Finally To Be Released?

There’s suddenly a lot going on with Zack Snyder, and it doesn’t have much to do with his upcoming movie, Army of the Dead. Nope, it’s exactly where much of the focus has been over the last year when it comes to Snyder, and that’s his cut of Justice League and the time he spent manning the DCEU. A new rumor from Heroic Hollywood says, after all of the rumors and (at least to me) frustrating teases, all of the public campaigns from the director and his fans, the Snyder Cut may actually get released.

First up, Snyder is holding a watch party for his 2013 film, Man of Steel, the official launch of the DCEU. The event will be held on Wednesday, May 20th, and only on Vero, Snyder’s chosen platform. So both of you who use Vero, hit me up if he says anything interesting, will ya? Thanks. I’ve always liked Man of Steel and think it would’ve been a great start to a DC Cinematic Universe if Snyder hadn’t fucked up what came next. With rumors of a new Superman movie out there, the timing on this is very interesting.

Okay, so the big stuff. Heroic Hollywoood (just take our word for it. The video they put out is unwatchable gobbledygook) says the Snyder Cut of Justice League has been shown to Warner Bros. execs and “something is happening” in regards to the film. As we all know by now, Snyder’s infamous cut, which would’ve been much longer and featured Green Lantern, Darkseid, and more, went unfinished when Joss Whedon took over and sorta did his own thing.

While WB is unlikely to actually complete production on Snyder’s movie, because that would require a ton of money and bringing in the cast, some kind of release is possible, maybe on HBO Max which is just getting off the ground. However, that still doesn’t explain how an unfinished movie would be presented to fans. I continue to maintain that Snyder’s script should be turned into an animated movie. That way they can make it as gigantic as he always intended, with no restrictions and no impact on the DCEU which has improved since Snyder left.  Have him come in to direct or consult. Whatever.

We’ll see. I have a hard time taking this rumor seriously but SOMETHING has to bring all this #ReleasetheSnyderCut nonsense to a close.
