Sony Swoops In On 'The Crow Reborn', Which Is Still Happening?

That reboot of The Crow? Somehow it's still a thing, despite a laundry list of casting moves, director changes, legal woes, and more that have kept it in development Hell for years. And while it's pretty stupid to have confidence in anything involving this project anymore, the arrival of a major distributor like Sony Pictures has to be considered a positive.

The Tracking Board reports that Sony has come on board The Crow Reborn, adding to their growing stable of comic book properties. It's unclear if Jason Momoa is still set to star as the reborn spirit of vengeance, or if Corin Hardy still plans to direct, but the studio sure hopes so. Of course they do. Momoa is hotter than ever with Justice League and Aquaman on the way, while Hardy has The Conjuring spinoff, The Nun. This also means they're a lot busier and probably more expensive, so who knows.

So yeah, this is probably good news. At some point this thing WILL happen because franchise properties are always going to be a priority.
