Liam Neeson Makes Rush Hour Exciting In New Trailer For 'The Commuter'

Maybe Liam Neeson characters should stop getting themselves into predicaments aboard public transportation? After fighting his way through an airliner in Non-Stop, Neeson now has a mystery to stop aboard a moving train in The Commuter. It's the latest generic action collab between Neeson and director Jaume Collet-Serra, and the new trailer is here for you to check out. But first, the synopsis:

In this action-packed thriller, Liam Neeson plays an insurance salesman, Michael, on his daily commute home, which quickly becomes anything but routine. After being contacted by a mysterious stranger, Michael is forced to uncover the identity of a hidden passenger on his train before the last stop. As he works against the clock to solve the puzzle, he realizes a deadly plan is unfolding and is unwittingly caught up in a criminal conspiracy. One that carries life and death stakes for himself and his fellow passengers.

I feel like that basic synopsis template is used in every Neeson movie.  The Commuter opens January 12th and co-stars Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, who sadly won't be reprising their roles from The Conjuring. The Conjuring meets Non-Stop! Now take that to a pitch meeting!
