Judi Dench Rejoins Kenneth Branagh For Disney's 'Artemis Fowl'

Looks like Kenneth Branagh and Judi Dench will be passengers on the same train again. After working with Branagh on his adaptation of Murder On the Orient Express Dench will join him for his next one, as she's in early talks for a role in Disney's Artemis Fowl.

In the works for years, the project is picking up steam now. Along with Dench's casting the adaptation of Eoin Colfer's popular (but overshadowed by Harry Potter) 8-part series also received an August 9th 2019 release date just a few days ago. We'll probably be hearing about someone to play the billionaire boy genius/criminal mastermind soon.

As for Dench's role, it's unclear at this point. Perhaps someone more familiar with the material can offer up some suggestions?  Dench will be seen later this month period dramedy Victoria & Abdul, which has no billionaire boy geniuses or criminal masterminds that we know of.  [Variety]
