'Columbus' Star Haley Lu Richardson Joins Oscar Isaac In 'Operation Finale'

If I had to list my favorite actresses of 2017, at the top of it would be Haley Lu Richardson. While she had her breakthrough last year in The Edge of Seventeen, she has since taken it to another level with M. Night Shyamalan's Split and the slept-on drama Columbus. And it's good to see her hard work rewarded, because she's about to join Oscar Isaac and Ben Kingsley in WWII film, Operation Finale.

THR has the news of Richardson's casting in the film, which will be directed by Chris Weitz from Matthew Orton's script. Isaac stars as Nazi hunter Peter Malkin with Kingsley as Adolf Eichmann, a Holocaust architect who fled to Argentina where he remained in hiding until Malkin found him. Joe Alwyn plays Eichmann's son, with Richardson as his loving, conflicted girlfriend Sylvia, who ultimately turned her lover over to the Mossad.

If it were up to me it would be a totally different movie that featured only Isaac and Richardson, so she can share the same dynamic she had with John Cho in Columbus. Perhaps some day in the future.
