Christian Bale Makes A Dangerous Journey In First Trailer For 'Hostiles'

Fresh off its world premiere at Telluride, Scott Cooper's Hostiles has emerged as one of the most talked about movies of the festival. And for good reason as the film packs a startlingly good cast of Christian Bale, Rosamund Pike, Wes Studi, Adam Beach, Ben Foster, Jesse Plemons, Rory Cochrane, and Q’orianka Kilcher, with buzz already building for Bale's performance. And while we wait to see if it gets picked up while at TIFF, a hot new trailer has debuted to show us what all of the fuss is about.

Set in 1892, Bale plays a legendary Army captain who agrees to escort a dying Native American enemy through hostile territory to his tribal home. Pike plays a woman they pick up along the way, and the bitterness she feels after losing her family to an Indian attack is still there, making for an increasingly dangerous journey.

We'll be keeping a close eye on this one. Somebody's going to have to pick it up quick to give it a release date in time for the awards season, because waiting an entire year would be out of the question.
