'Wonder Woman' Epilogue Teases Etta Candy's Important Mission

Wonder Woman is still in theaters, and doing quite well thank you very much. It made over $1.6M last weekend after 13 weeks of release. Clearly, audiences are still loving the first solo adventure of the Amazonian hero, and they'll no doubt plunk down a ton of cash to bring the film home today on digital release, and then in a few weeks on Blu-Ray/DVD. A big part of the hype for the home release has been an added scene involving the Lucy Davis' fun Etta Candy character, and now we're getting a look at that scene and its potential importance.

The scene finds Etta Candy reunited with Sameer, Chief, and Charlie for a top secret mission to Belgium retrieve an ancient and powerful object for the Americans. What could that object be? Might this be a tease for Wonder Woman 2? Or possibly a prelude of sorts to Justice League? Could they possibly be searching for one of the Mother Boxes we know Steppenwolf is after?

It should be noted that this is NOT a deleted scene like some sites are reporting. This is an epilogue that Patty Jenkins and her team came up with after shooting, which I think make it all the more special. Here's what Jenkins told Yahoo! about the scene...

"It was conceived after we wrapped. There were no cut scenes in the movie, basically, which I'm very happy about, because you can't always do that. I'm very hard on the script before we go in, and you're always hoping for that --- that you're not wasting your precious days. We got lucky on this one, that that was the case. And every single one of us wished that Etta was in every scene, as well as the team. We were like, 'Can we just put them in everything?' They were just so great!"

Wonder Woman is available now on Digital HD, Blu-Ray/DVD on September 19th. Orders yours here now!
