The Afflecks' Reps Say Casey's Wrong About Ben Exiting 'The Batman'

There will probably be questions about Ben Affleck's future as Batman all the way up until he's seen suited up in Matt Reeves' film. It doesn't help when Casey Affleck is making statements that his brother Ben is done and won't star in The Batman. As you can imagine, his comments caused quite a ripple across the Internet, but according to reps for both siblings, Casey didn't know what the heck he was talking about.

Ben's rep came out and said that everything is the same as it was at Comic-Con and "he'll continue to be Batman as long as the studio will have him." That caveat at the end is always what gets me. I'm not sure Warner Bros. still wants him as Batman, and I'm still not convinced Ben wants to be there, either.

Casey's rep chimed in and basically said he was talking out of his butt, stating "He was having fun with the folks at the Red Sox game and not speaking from a place of firsthand knowledge."

Yeah, okay. We'll see, but you all know where I stand on this. Affleck out.
