Rooney Mara Confronts Ben Mendelsohn In New Trailer For 'Una'

It's a little surprising that Una, which stars Rooney Mara, Ben Mendelsohn, and Riz Ahmed in a supporting role, couldn't make a bigger splash on the festival circuit last fall. That's not always an indicator of a bad movie, and everything seen so far including this brand new trailer, suggests an intense thriller with two explosive lead performances.

Directed by Benedict Andrews and based on David Harrower's Tony Award-winning stageplay, Una centers on a young woman who tracks down the man (Mendelsohn) she shared an illicit relationship with fifteen years earlier. Her arrival threatens to ruin his new life, while it's clear her mental stability is in question.

I'm also curious about this rollout. Una opens in New York on October 6th, followed by Los Angeles a week later. Presumably it'll go wider not long after, but that hasn't been revealed.
