Broken Lizard Is Back On Patrol In NSFW 'Super Troopers 2' Teaser

There are some I call very dear friends who look at Broken Lizard's Super Troopers as some kind of cult comedy classic. It's not my thing; have never really found the comedy troupe very funny at all, and certainly didn't think there would be a consistent clamor for a sequel. And yet here we are sixteen years later with Super Troopers 2. The a-hole part of me says it's because Broken Lizard haven't found nearly the same level of success since then, (Did you actually watch Freeloaders??) but I'm happy those who wanted it got the movie they've been waiting for.

And the trailer is appropriately NSFW, featuring the return of Jay Chandrasekhar, Paul Soter, Steve Lemme, Erik Stolhanske, Kevin Heffernan, Brian Cox, and Marisa Coughlan from the original movie. Special guests include Tyler Labine, Lynda Carter, Rob Lowe, and Emmanuelle Chriqui. Here's the synopsis:

Everyone’s favorite cops are back (by popular demand) with the long anticipated follow up to the cult comedy classic: Super Troopers 2. When the United States and Canada get into a dispute about the location of the actual border, the Super Troopers – Mac, Thorny, Foster, Rabbit and Farva – are called in to set up a new Highway Patrol station in the contested area. Our heroes quickly revert to their own brand of unconventional police work.

Yeah, this is the kind of movie that lazily opens on April 20th just for the easy 4/20 joke. Har har har.
