The 'Terminator 2' 3D Trailer Looks So Much Better Than 'Terminator Genisys'

After two failed attempts to revive the Terminator franchise, the forgettable Terminator Salvation and recent failure Terminator Genisys, it's a good time for a reminder of what we loved about it.  Last year we learned Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the best Terminator movie by far, would be coming back to theaters in 3D, and now there's a new trailer for its return.

Terminator 2 arrives with a brand new 3D conversion that you tech geeks who worry about aspect ratio or whatever can obsess over. It's not something I'll be flocking to theaters for because James Cameron's 1991 film is nearly flawless already, but if you really want to see Linda Hamilton's biceps poppin' out at you then this is for you. It looks incredible thanks to the 4K restoration Cameron has been working on for a few years now, I guess during his lunch breaks on Avatar 2.

 Here's a synopsis:

James Cameron’s masterpiece starring Arnold Schwarzenegger in his most iconic role, has been converted in immersive 3D by Cameron himself. First hitting screens in 1991 with groundbreaking special effects, the 4K and 3D version will take the seminal blockbuster to the next level of effects and into the 21st century for the next generation of fans.

Check out Terminator 2's return this summer on August 25th.
