After more than a 30-year wait, you can best believe Blade Runner 2049 is one of the year's most eagerly awaited movies. Even though Ridley Scott's film wasn't seen as being so great at the time, now it is an undeniable classic and a crucial thread in the fabric of science-fiction. It was smart, gorgeously shot, and left questions lingering in your mind that never went away. And you know what? Denis Villeneuve's sequel looks like it may do the same.
The latest trailer is, of course, absolutely stunning to behold. The brief teasers a few days ago showed us that it would be. But it's also a heck of a tease, one that continues to subtly ponder the question we've all been curious about for so long. Is Harrison Ford's returning Rick Deckard a human or a Replicant? And what about Gosling's Agent K? Is he one, too? He's looking for Deckard, but for what reason? And what's Jared Leto's character up to?
Blade Runner 2049 opens October 6th and co-stars Dave Bautista, Robin Wright, Hiam Abbass, Barkhad Abdi, Ana De Armas, David Dastmalchian, Mackenzie Davis, Sylvia Hoeks, Lennie James, Carla Juri, and Edward James Olmos.
