Peter Parker Has A Secret In First 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Clip

Since most Marvel superheroes' identities are public knowledge in the comics, we've come to take the secret identity thing for granted. In the MCU most of the Avengers are public figures. Everybody knows who Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are. But Peter Parker is still a minor and so his identity must remain hidden, which causes some problems for him in this new clip from Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The scene, which debuted last night at the MTV Movie Awards, shows Peter (Tom Holland) being kinda careless, which leads to his nerdy pal Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) figuring out he's Spider-Man. Take a look
around Peter's room for some cool little Easter Eggs , too. Afterwards there's a quick sizzle reel of action and high school humor, including more of Zendaya as "Michelle."  Yeah, we'll see if that's who she's really playing. I don't think so.

Spider-Man: Homecoming opens July 7th.
