Lola Kirke Goes 'AWOL' In The Romance Drama's First Trailer

When you manage to steal an entire movie like Mistress America away from Greta Gerwig, then lead Amazon to one of its top shows in Mozart in the Jungle, people are going to notice. Lola Kirke is a tremendous talent that is finally getting the attention she deserves, and that means a little added shine for some of the smaller projects she undertakes, like romance drama AWOL.

Debuting at last year's Tribeca Film Festival, it centers on a small-town lesbian romance that blossoms in ways neither woman could have expected. Kirke shares the screen with Breeda Wool (UnREAL), with Deb Shoval making her feature directorial debut, expanding on her short film from 2010.

AWOL hits select NY theaters on May 19th, followed by VOD on May 23rd.
