According to The Tracking Board, Jim Carrey is set to star in Mr. Toy, a biopic on brilliant toy inventor Marvin Glass. Marvin Glass and Associates created some of the 20th century's most popular toys, including Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots, Operation, and Mouse Trap. Chai Hecht wrote the script which is being described as "Steve Jobs meets A Beautiful Mind by way of Willy Wonka." Uh, sure.
The site is also reporting Emilia Clarke's attachment to period drama, The Woman with Red Hair, which sounds like a Game of Thrones episode. The WWII drama will be produced by Greg Berlanti, the mastermind behind all of those CW superhero shows you love. The film is based on Johanna "Hannie" Schaft, a young Dutch woman who became a member of the resistance targeting the Nazis during WWII. She fought against German occupation of the Netherlands, and refused to sign an allegiance in support of it. Keep an eye on this one if it turns out to be legit because I sense tremendous potential. Berlanti seems to putting his focus on women of past eras, as he's also got the doomed lovers drama Alice + Freda Forever directed by Jennifer Kent.
