We haven't seen Jodie Foster in front of the camera for a few years, not since Neill Blomkamp's Elysium. Remember that one? I totally forgot it existed until just now. Since then she's been busy directing Money Monster and episodes of Orange is the New Black and House of Cards. Well now she is ready to give up the chair for a spell and act again, this time in Drew Pearce's directorial debut, Hotel Artemis.
Pearce, a co-writer on Iron Man 3, will direct Hotel Artemis based on his own original screenplay. Foster will play a character known as "The Nurse" in the sci-fi crime thriller which has “its own distinctive crime universe” set in the near future.
Perhaps Foster can lend a few pointers to Pearce, whose most extensive directing credit is the Marvel short, All Hail the King.
