Yep, Bad Robot's 'God Particle' Is Actually Another 'Cloverfield' Movie

I think at this point we're all assuming every Bad Robot film with a generic title is another Cloverfield. That was the case earlier this year when "The Cellar" became Cloverfield sequel 10 Cloverfield Lane, and now the sci-fi film God Particle has been revealed as another.

So J.J. Abrams has quietly added another film to the Cloverfield franchise, and he has plans to do it again every year. God Particle takes place in deep space aboard an American space station, where an accident with a particle machine causes Earth to vanish. David Oyelowo, Elizabeth Debicki, Zhang Ziyi, John Krasinski, Chris O'Dowd, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Daniel Bruhl make up an amazing cast.

So what's the connecting thread between these three Cloverfield movies? Slashfilm thinks it has to do with a transmission heard by Howard (John Goodman) in 10 Cloverfield Lane. You can check that out for yourself below.

Directed by Julius Onah, God Particle opens February 24th 2017. [TheWrap]
