Despite the long, mysterious, complicated past suffered by the X-Men's feral rebel, Wolverine, at his core he's one of the most simple characters. He's a guy with a tragic past who fights wrongs using metal bones and claws. And we've seen that simplicity reflected in the titles of his solo movies starring Hugh Jackman. As the actor prepares for his final time suiting up as the clawed mutant, the title of the third movie is the most basic of them all.
James Mangold has revealed the title of the third movie is simply Logan, with an image of Wolverine's clawed hand summing things up. The film promises to be the most hardcore outing for the character yet with an R-rated storyline that may have been drawn from the classic "Old Man Logan" plot. The villain Mr. Sinister, teased at the end of X-Men: Apocalypse, will be making Wolverine's long life miserable. Patrick Stewart will reprise his role as Professor Charles Xavier, with Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Elizabeth Rodriguez, and more co-starring.
So there you have it. Logan opens on March 3rd 2017. With filming already completed expect some kind of footage soon. For now, take a look at Mangold's tweets which include a page from the brutal screenplay.
