'Alita: Battle Angel' Adds 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Actress Lana Condor

Most of her scenes as Jubilee were unfortunately dropped from X-Men: Apocalypse, so basically all we got from her were a few reaction shots. But hopefully Lana Condor's latest big screen adaptation will work out better because she's now joined the cast of Robert Rodriguez and James Cameron's Alita: Battle Angel.

Condor joins star Rosa Salazar, Christoph Waltz, Ed Skrein, Mahershala Ali, and Jackie Earle Haley in the film based on  Yukito Kishiro's manga classic. Salazar plays an amnesiac female cyborg discovered in a trash heap and rebuilt into a fearsome bounty hunter using a mysterious martial art. We can look forward to seeing Condor in the role of Koyomi K., an orphaned girl who grew up in the same scrapyard and has close ties to multiple characters.

Alita: Battle Angel opens July 20th 2018. You can see Condor next opposite Mark Wahlberg in Patriots Day. [Variety]
