Pennywise Fully Revealed In New Image From Stephen King's 'It'

One of the things that made Tim Curry's version of Pennywise the Clown so unforgettably terrifying is that his evil was a little bit deceptive. We knew what he was, of course, but in appearance he was colorful like the clowns we liked as kids. Clearly that is NOT the avenue they are taking with this new take on Pennywise, played by Bill Skarsgard. After we got a tease of the demonic clown a few weeks ago, a new look at him in Andy Muscietti's adaptation of It has revealed him in full costume.

And...it's super dark, looking like an evil doll from the Puppet Master movies or something. Nothing mysterious about this guy at all, and honestly I don't like it. The key thing is going to be Skarsgard's performance and if he can capture the menace that made Pennywise so much a part of our nightmares.

Starring Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff,Chosen Jacobs, and Jeremy Ray Taylor, Stephen King's It opens September 8th 2017. [EW]
