It looks like 20th Century Fox and James Mangold are going all-out to make sure Hugh Jackman's final time as Wolverine is unlike any other. Along with the R-rating, ensuring Wolverine 3 will be the most violent of the X-Men films yet, it's also going to sound different than any other.
Cliff Martinez, who has scored films for Nicolas Winding Refn, Steven Soderbergh, and Harmony Korine, will do the same for the upcoming Wolverine flick. His synth-heavy sound can be heard right now in Refn's The Neon Demon, which may be the best of his collaborations with the director. After spending most of his time scoring indies Martinez is clearly making the jump to bigger films as he also has War Dogs with Miles Teller and Jonah Hill.
