Trailer And Poster For Tyler Perry's 'Boo! A Madea Halloween' Are No Treat

Just when you thought it was safe to enjoy the holidays again, Tyler Perry has pulled Madea out of the mothballs for a film that will ruin your Halloween. That's right, after a three-year hiatus he is once again embracing his feminine side in Boo! A Madea Halloween, and now you can get a look at the first full trailer and a poster that is sure to make John Carpenter fans want to stab their eyes out.

A random joke in Chris Rock's Top Five was the inspiration for the spoof, which finds Madea battling killers, paranormal antagonists, and more on the scariest night of the year.  But it's the poster that is sure to draw the ire of horror enthusiasts as it's a clear homage to John Carpenter's Halloween. It's actually not a bad one-sheet at all, especially the vintage look of it, but you can't help but wish it was for a movie that wasn't so instantly distasteful.

This marks the 9th Madea feature film from Perry, who once again writes, directs, produces, and stars. A Madea Halloween opens October 21st and co-stars Bella Thorne (Come on Bella, why!?), Jimmy Tatro, Diamond White, Kian Lawley and Yousef Eraka.
