Interview: Adam Devine Talks Playing Zac Efron's Brother In 'Mike And Dave Need Wedding Dates'

In the new comedy Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Adam Devine plays the brother to Zac Efron, who as we all know is unnaturally gorgeous. Devine's character, Mike Stangle, is repeatedly referred to as the least attractive Stangle brother. That kind of thing could have made it tough for Devine, but fortunately he and Efron are pretty good friends and they had a blast shooting the film, so there were no hard feelings at all.

Devine opened up to me about the film, which sees him reunited with Pitch Perfect's Anna Kendrick, along with Aubrey Plaza. It's loosely based on the real-life Stangle brothers who took out an ad for wedding dates to join them in Hawaii, only to have the ad go viral. Devine was in DC for an event at the White House with Joe Biden, which he talks about briefly, but mostly he talks about his friendship with Efron and the wild time they had on set.
