For a movie that opened back in March and is considered pretty forgettable by most who saw it, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice continues to be the subject of much conversation. Most of it has to do with the impact it's had on Warner Bros.' entire DCU, which will find them going away from the grim approach taken by director Zack Snyder. Fans and critics just didn't take to it, but maybe a look at EVERYTHING Snyder had planned will change their mind?
Collider has debuted the trailer for the 'Batman v Superman' Ultimate Edition Blu-Ray which features a whopping 30-minutes of additional footage incorporated into a 182-minute R-rated cut of the film. Oof. We already know some of what those additional scenes will be, such as all of the material with Jena Malone that was cut from the theatrical version, and the North Africa sequence involving a prominent character from Superman's history. If rumors are true Malone's character is pretty prominent, too.
Here's the rundown of special features included on the home release, which arrives on July 19th and can be pre-ordered here.
