Mackenzie Davis Joins 'Tully', 'Annabelle 2' Adds Miranda Otto And Stephanie Sigman

As if the reunion of Jason Reitman, Diablo Cody, and their Young Adult star Charlize Theron wasn't good enough, Tully just got even better with the addition of Mackenzie Davis. The Halt and Catch Fire and The Martian star joins the film about a mother of three who forms a unique bond with the challenging young night nanny she's been gifted by her brother. Davis recently joined the Blade Runner 2 cast, as well, and will be seen on the big screen next in that film. [Variety]

Why are they making a sequel to The Conjuring spinoff, Annabelle? Easy, because the low budget horror earned $265M and continued the franchise's winning ways, just as The Conjuring 2 did and the upcoming demon nun spinoff probably will. Now the cast of Annabelle 2 has its first cast members with Miranda Otto (The Lord of the Rings trilogy) and Stephanie Sigman (Spectre). David F. Sandberg (Lights Out) is directing the film about a dollmaker and his wife (Otto) whose daughter tragically dies. Two decades later they open their home to a nun and a group of orphans, only to have the dollmaker's possessed Annabelle doll target the kids. [THR]
