Elizabeth Banks Eyes Role In 'Ocean's Eleven' Spinoff

If there are truly going to be eight ladies at the center of the Ocean's Eleven spinoff, rumored to be titled Ocean's Ocho, then it won't be long before we have the whole team at this rate. Just yesterday Showbiz411 reported the additions of Mindy Kaling and Helena Bonham Carter to the cast, joining Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett. Now the site has updated their story with news that Elizabeth Banks is "likely" to sign on.

Banks recently dropped out of directing Pitch Perfect 3 to focus on her family, but there may be enough time to fit in a supporting role in the Gary Ross-directed continuation of Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's Eleven trilogy. Bullock is expected to play the thieving sister of Danny Ocean (George Clooney), who puts together a team to frame a villainous gallery owner by stealing a necklace from the Met Ball.

Look for more announcements as the film gears up for a fall/winter shoot. Banks will be seen next as the villain Rita Repulsa in the Power Rangers reboot.
