Are you ready to go on another culinary and comedic road trip with Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon? Good, because the duo is planning their third in the popular series, The Trip to Spain, so get ready for more amazing food, exotic locales, petty grievances, and celebrity voice impressions.
Screen Daily reports the plan is to begin filming later this year in Spain, of course, to be broadcast as a series in the U.K. However, like the earlier films it will be packaged together as a feature film and delivered to America. Here's what Coogan told NME about the project....
“Having thought long and hard about yet another sojourn into culinary distractions and middle age, I have reluctantly agreed to Y viva Espana. I have a hole in my diary, there will be free food and accommodation and Rob Brydon is surprisingly good company. I also like Michael.”
He's referring to Michael Winterbottom who will return to direct once again, and this time they'll be heading to such places as Cantabria, the Basque region, Aragon, Rioja, Castile-La Mancha and Andalusia. Good work if you can get it.
