Scarlett Johansson And Taron Egerton Raise Their Voices In The 'Sing' Trailer

With so many high-profile animated films each year it's easy for one to get overlooked. The folks at Illumination Entertainment have done a pretty good job staying on everybody's radar with their Despicable Me and Minions films, and they are doing the same with this summer's The Secret Life of Pets. But they've got another one one the way later this year, the animated musical Sing, which not only has the starriest voice cast they've ever assembled, but a whopping 85 songs.

For that kind of massive effort, it only makes sense for the promo campaign to get going early with the latest trailer. Directed by Garth Jennings (Son of Rambow) and featuring the voices of Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Taron Egerton, Nick Kroll, Leslie Jones, Nick Offerman, and Jennifer Saunders. Not unlike Zootopia, the film takes place in a world populated by talking animals, with one in particular, optimistic koala Buster Moon (McConaughey), holding a singing contest to raise money to save a historic theater from demolition.

Sing opens on December 21st.
