'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Honest Trailer Calls It A Shameless Remake

Did you get your copy of Star Wars: The Force Awakens yet? J.J. Abrams' revitalization of the beloved franchise hit home release yesterday, and its special features undoubtedly are being scoured over by millions right this moment. Abrams achieved what many thought was impossible by appealing to old fans while connecting with a new generation that will love these movies the way many of us did as kids. Not an easy task, for sure, and imagine what we'd be saying right now if he had failed!

So who cares if the film is so nostalgic that it kinda lifts whole ideas from 'A New Hope'? Okay, some care, but just as many were happy to see the film embrace so many familiar themes because they are what Star Wars is all about. Screen Junkies seem to be split on that idea, though, making for an Honest Trailer for 'The Force Awakens' that has two different narrators divided on the film. Of course there's also room to poke fun at all of the geeky callbacks Abrams threw in for no reason, the strange character developments, and so forth.

What side do you fall on? Star Wars: The Force Awakens is available right now on Blu-Ray/DVD!
