Obviously, it's in the title you so you know something is about to get spoiled, right? Good. And what is about to be spoiled is Mads Mikkelsen's role in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, a film that has been the target of much speculation surrounding its characters. This is pretty much par for the course when it comes to Star Wars, though, with everyone assuming each character is related to one another in some way.
In this case there actually are familial ties at work, because Mikkelsen revealed to Sky News that his character, Galen, is the father to Jyn Erso, the lead Rebel spy played by Felicity Jones. He's said previously that his role wouldn't be villainous, but do we really believe anything when it comes to the super-secretive Star Wars flick? And since when are fathers good guys in the Star Wars universe? Okay, Han Solo was a decent dude in the end, but look how that turned out.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens December 16th.
