Ex-WWE Champ Seth Rollins Teams With Wesley Snipes For 'Temple'

He may be on the shelf with an injury, but former WWE Champion Seth Rollins is gearing up for a big comeback. Not only was he at WrestleMania over the weekend, and appeared to be moving around pretty nicely, but he's well enough that Vince McMahon has set him for a lead role in the WWE Studios flick, Temple, starring alongside Wesley Snipes.

Rollins, Snipes, Anne Heche, and some guy named Dave Annable will star in the action flick directed by John Stockwell, who was at the helm for Blue Crush, In the Blood,  and WWE's most recent film, Countdown, which stars Dolph Ziggler and Kane. Temple centers on a team of trained operatives who "find themselves trapped inside an isolated military compound after its artificial intelligence is suddenly shut down—and then begin to experience strange and horrific phenomena."

Snipes will be producing along with KISS frontman Gene Simmons, the latter having formed his own label with WWE to make flicks that can be marketed on their numerous weekly programs. Filming begins today, another sign that Rollins is feeling pretty healthy right now. Hopefully it means he'll be back and curb-stomping opponents in the ring before too long.
