You may love Patrick Stewart for playing Charles Xavier or Jean-Luc Picard, or for all of those sweet photos of him hanging out with Ian McKellen, but when he wants to get nasty he brings it. Stewart puts on his bad boy pants in Green Room, the latest genre flick from Blue Ruin director, Jeremy Saulnier.
Just as Blue Ruin offered a twist on the revenge thriller, Green Room delivers a unique take on the siege movie. Stewart plays the head of a neo Nazi group who are trying to contain a murder that took place at their club. But that becomes a problem when the punk rock band playing a gig witnesses the crime, and obviously they can't be allowed to leave. Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots, Alia Shawkat, Joe Cole, Callum Turner, Mark Webber, Eric Edelstein, and Macon Blair join Stewart in the film which I said "slowly dials up the tension to an almost unbearable level."
Green Room opens on April 15th in New York and LA, followed by a larger rollout on April 29th.
