With Miracles from Heaven already proving to be another hit faith-based film, its producers are already lining up a big star for their next project. Kevin James is set to star in 44, a film that will combine faith and football like an episode of Friday Night Lights.
The film is described as similar to The Blind Side, and tells the true story of Joey Williams, a middle-aged father of four from Tennessee who returns to college to complete his degree and fulfill his dream of playing college football. Using his faith as a guide, Joey's path would go in some interesting directions, such as competing against his own son on the gridiron.
While there's no director attached the screenplay will be written by Heaven is for Real's Christopher Parker, and obviously he would like to find the same $100M success of that film. Next up for James is his Netflix comedy, The True Memoirs of an International Assassin. [THR]
