Beware The Dark In First Trailer For Horror 'Lights Out'

James Wan was busy at WonderCon this weekend. Not only did he debut a new trailer for The Conjuring 2, which he's once again directing, but he also dropped the first footage from another horror, Lights Out, that he'll be producing. David F. Sandberg is directing and it's a feature-length version of his popular short film that had a lot of people sleeping with a night light on.

Starring Teresa Palmer, Gabriel Bateman, Alexander DiPersia, with Billy Burke and Maria Bello with a script by Eric Heisserer (The Thing remake), the film centers on Rebecca, whose younger brother is haunted by an entity with a mysterious connection to their mother.  The opening sequence is insanely creepy and mirrors Sandberg's short film as the shadow entity creeps closer and closer with each flick of the light switch.

Lights Out hits theaters on July 22nd.
