Watch Johnny Depp As Donald Trump In Funny Or Die's Hilarious Mockumentary 'The Art Of the Deal: The Movie'
Now here's a surprise that came out of nowhere. Last night Donald Trump won in the New Hampshire GOP primary...okay, that's not really the surprise even if it is a tad disturbing. The surprise is this Funny or Die mockumentary that just hit which should have The Donald scrambling his lawyers faster than you can say "xenophobia".
Funny or Die has released The Art of the Deal: The Movie, which stars Johnny Depp in a hilarious impersonation of Trump. Narrated by Ron Howard and directed by Jeremy Konner (Drunk History), "The Art of the Deal" is supposedly a long-lost movie made by Trump which has now been found and it paints the showboating candidate in the worst way possible. If you recall, Trump released a book in 1987 titled "The Art of the Deal". He still carries it around at rallies and says it's his favorite book right next to The Bible, which I'm pretty sure he's never ever read.
Producer Adam McKay labored to keep the whole thing a secret, and he certainly managed to pull that off. He tells the New York Times, "It was a crazy, completely nuts idea that somehow we pulled off,"
Editor-in-chief Owen Burke adds, “The plan was to move really fast because we thought Trump would go away, as least as a presidential candidate. When he bizarrely didn’t go away, we had a little more time. But that meant keeping the secret for longer.”
The doc is pretty funny, and features a great supporting cast of Alfred Molina, Robert Morse, Patton Oswalt, Jack McBrayer, Michaela Watkins, Henry Winkler, Stephen Merchant, Christopher Lloyd, Kristen Schaal, Andy Richter, Paul Scheer, Rob Huebel, Tymberlee Hill, Alf, Jordan Coleman, and Joe Nuñez.
