The first trailer for season two of Marvel's Daredevil, noticeably labeled "Part One", centered exclusively on the latest antihero on the streets of Hell's Kitchen, The Punisher (Jon Bernthal). And now we're getting a look at the second cause of Matt Murdock's future headaches, the sai-wielding ninja assassin Elektra Natchios, played by Elodie Yung who you can see this weekend in Gods of Egypt.
Elektra, who comics fans will know is arguably Daredevil's greatest love, arrives in the city with dire warnings about the yakuza, who are apparently still causing trouble. So between his feelings for Karen (Deborah Ann Woll), the Punisher's bloody vigilante acts, the yakuza, and Elektra, Daredevil is going to have his hands full. Here's a synopsis for the second season:
Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios. Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
Daredevil returns to Netflix on March 18th. Check out the trailer and some new posters, as well.
