This weekend the gorgeous Bella Heathcote can be seen slicing up the undead in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, a campy horror version of Jane Austen's classic. But now she's signed up for yet another unconventional and deadly romance based on a best-selling novel.
Heathcote will play Christian Grey's former lover Leila in Fifty Shades Darker, the sequel to 2014's Fifty Shades of Grey. She joins returning stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, along with Kim Basinger as Grey's BDSM mentor, Elena Lincoln. In the novels, Leila still bares the emotional and physical scars from her time with Christian, and later suffers a mental breakdown. She begins to have an unhealthy obsession with Ana, so it looks like she will play a major role in the sequel.
Directed by James Foley, Fifty Shades Darker opens February 10th 2017.
