Arielle Kebbel (Ballers, Think Like A Man) has been cast in Fifty Shades Freed, the final film in the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy. J.K. Simmons has been joined in ensemble dramedy The Bachelors by Before Sunrise's Julie Delpy. The film will be written and directed by Kurt Voelker (Sweet November) and centers on a widower and his teenage son who move from a small California town to Los Angeles, where a new job, a new school, a wry old friend and two extraordinary women play a transformative role in the reshaping of their lives.
Josh Gad has come up with an idea for a new comedy called Heavy Duty, and he's set to star in it for Paramount Pictures. Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit will pen the screenplay for the film which stars Gad as an ordinary guy who signs up for a wellness retreat to lose weight and live a more extraordinary life. But he and the other underachievers find themselves unexpectedly tested when things go awry. This one's still pretty early on as a director still needs to be found.
