Normally the early months are when unexpected horror movies thrive, but so far The Forest, which starred Game of Thrones' Natalie Dormer, didn't do all that well. But there has been stronger buzz surrounding The Boy, which is set to terrorize theaters tomorrow, and stars The Walking Dead's Lauren Cohan.
Directed by William Brent Bell (The Devil Inside), it's one of those living doll movies, but not like Child's Play or Puppetmaster. Cohan plays an American nanny working for a creepy British couple (uh oh) whose child turns out to be a life-like doll (!!!), only for her to discover that it's actually alive (!!!!!). Why she doesn't immediately jet-set back to the U.S. is a question that hopefully the film will answer.
The Boy opens tomorrow, January 22nd.
