Kat Graham Is Playing Jada Pinkett Smith In The Tupac Shakur Biopic

There's some very interesting casting that is going on with All Eyez On Me, the Tupac Shakur biopic that's filming right now. The latest addition to the cast is someone I've never heard of, Kat Graham, who has signed on to star as Jada Pinkett Smith, which gives us an indication just how far back into the rapper's life the film will go.

Graham, best known for her role on The Vampire Diaries, will portray Jada Pinkett who was one of Shakur's friends at the Baltimore School of Arts and they remained close up until his death in 1996. They also appeared together in an episode of A Different World.  Graham joins newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr., a dead-ringer for Shakur, The Walking Dead's Danai Gurira as Skakur's mother, and Jamal Woolard once again playing Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace, just as he did in 2009's Notorious.

Shooting is taking place now with Benny Boom directing. No word on when it may be released, but Open Road Films plans to distribute.
